Criteria
1. You must:
be at least 18 years of age,
be a Singapore citizen/PR or a foreigner with a valid Work Permit, and
possess at least 3 GCE “O” Level credit passes.
2. If the applicant is a company registered with the Registry of Companies, the company must have a minimum paid-up capital of S$25,000 at the time of its application and throughout the currency of its registration.
3. You must possess the following professional qualifications:
• Basic Insurance Concept and Principles (BCP)
• Personal General Insurance (PGI)
• Health Insurance (HI)
• Commercial General Insurance (ComGI)
4. You must possess other acceptable qualifications in lieu of CGI.
Registration Procedure
i) Download and complete the New Principal Request Form. Complete the form and submit it to us together with the following documents:
• A copy of your highest academic qualification certificate
• A copy of your CGI Certificate
• A copy of your HI Certificate
• A copy of your NRIC (front and back)
• A photograph of yourself (passport size)
• Your Business Plan/Proposal
• A copy of any other Professional or Academic Certificates you possess
ii a) An Individual Agent? Download and complete the Individual Agent Application Form.
ii b) Or a Corporate Agency? Download and complete the Corporate Application Form.
Please complete the relevant Agency Application Form and email it to us with the other required documents for our review. We will contact you for an interview if you are shortlisted.
Upon successful interview, your application will be submitted to GIAS for approval. Once approval is received from GIAS, you will be required to sign an Agency Agreement with Etiqa Insurance Pte. Ltd.. An Agency Code number will be allocated to you and you will have to use this code number for all correspondences with Etiqa Insurance Pte. Ltd. including submission of business applications.
iii) Addition of Nominee Agent? Download and complete the Additional Nominee Agents Form
iv) Download and Complete the Declaration Form
v) Submit your Registration Fee
• Make cheque payable to “Etiqa Insurance Pte Ltd”

• Mail the cheque across to “Etiqa Insurance Pte. Ltd., One Raffles Quay #22-01 North Tower Singapore 048583. (Attn: Agency, GI Distribution). You may also choose to mail the application forms across if you prefer not to submit online.
vi) Upon receipt of the documents, we will submit to GIAS for approval. You will be notified by email once the application is approved.
