All Etiqa’s equity investments to meet internal ESG requirements by 2025
Provide sustainable solutions for the social, health and education needs of the communities, targeting to improve the lives of 889,387 households by 2025
Achieve carbon neutral status for Scope 1 and 2 by 2030, and go beyond this to implement zero single-use plastics for all Etiqa buildings, zerorise paper usage and all Etiqa’s vehicles as EV by 2030.
Etiqa encourages drivers to drive less and receive attractive rebates on motor insurance premiums through our Drive Less Save More “DLSM” programme. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been fewer cars on the road due to more people working from home and rising petrol costs. Etiqa’s cash rebates help people who drive less to save more while generating fewer carbon emissions at the same time.
Etiqa supports the adoption of green vehicles and eco-friendly home appliances, which help to combat climate change by reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Our car insurance for EVs and hybrid cars and home insurance offerings are available on Singapore Power Group’s green marketplace.
Financial protection is especially important for low-income families, as it helps to guard them against financial hardship during unexpected life events. As part of a joint initiative with Maybank Singapore, Etiqa is committed to providing eligible low-income families nationwide with free personal accident insurance over three years. The ePROTECT family scheme is a complimentary personal accident insurance plan that Etiqa provides to beneficiaries in partnership with Community Development Councils in various communities.
At Etiqa, we believe in encouraging healthy cooking and eating habits for good nutrition and well-being. We collaborate with community partners and nutritional experts to conduct educational talks and cooking demonstrations for vulnerable seniors, on topics such as maintaining strong bones to prevent osteoporosis. Our Etiqan volunteers help to pack and distribute bags of nutritious grocery items to beneficiaries in need, empowering them with healthy and tasty daily cooking options.
Etiqa is a proud partner of Community Chest’s Change for Charity initiative, a movement that aims to build a caring nation where donating to worthy causes is a social norm. As part of Etiqa’s pledge to foster giving, our customers now have more convenient ways to donate and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need when purchasing Etiqa policies online. For every dollar customers donate, Etiqa and the Singapore Government will each match it dollar-for-dollar, tripling the customers’ contributions. All donations received will make a significant difference in the lives of beneficiaries supported by social service agencies under Community Chest, the philanthropy and engagement arm of Singapore’s National Council of Social Service.
